Initially a site used for mining iron ore, Montgomery Bell State Park's 3,800 acres are now restored to their former natural beauty. Visitors can stay in comfort at the park's 125-room inn or in one of the eight vacation cottages and eat hot meals at the inn's restaurant or get closer to nature by camping at the campground or in the backcountry. Outdoor activities include fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, biking and golfing, and an indoor conference center can hold up to 500 people. This immense park sits 38 miles west of central Nashville and 7 miles east of Dickson.
